FAQ

How do I get my bread?
There are 2 ways you can get bread.

#1. I do local bread drops in the Chelsea Publix parking lot, you know, where all good people get their breads :D Delivery Time and Day will be provided when you order your bread.

#2. With a membership to Alabama Farm Co-op, you can order my breads along with other items from farms and producers in Alabama. Those drops are in several different cities throughout Alabama. https://alabamafarmcoop.com/

How do I freeze/thaw my yummy new bread?
Easy peasy. Wrap the room temp. bread in aluminum foil, if it will fit in a freezer bag throw it in there too. If not, just make sure it’s wrapped well. To thaw, simply leave it on the counter for a few hours or overnight. To refresh a non sandwich loaf, run the thaw bread under the water not drenching but a nice wet coat, then place on parchment paper lined baking stone in 350 degree oven for 10-15 minutes. Enjoy like it’s new!

How long does it stay fresh?
If you can keep from eating it all in a couple days, that’s better than me. But it will stay fresh for about 5 days if stored correctly. I keep mine in a breadbox that Mo built for me. Keeping it in a paper bag with the ends folded or in a cloth would work too. For best freshness, do not refrigerate.

Is sourdough really a miracle bread?
I believe so! Some of the health benefits include: excellent source of antioxidants which can lower risk of certain types of cancer and chronic diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, lowers the bread’s glycemic index, easier to digest and breaks down the gluten, nutrients more readily available. There are many articles you can read about sourdough health benefits.

Is this sourdough gluten free?
The flours that I use are not gluten free however the fermentation process in which I prepare my sourdough breads breaks down the gluten. It basically “pre-digests” the gluten and allows the nutrition to be more available. Please do your own research to see if this is something your body can handle. I have many customers, including myself, that are gluten sensitive and can enjoy these breads without complications. If you have been gluten free, I would suggest eating in moderation to not overload your body. If you have Celiac, you should NOT eat this.

Can you tell me about the sugars you use?
Yep, the sugars I use are either, maple syrup, honey, granulated sugar & brown sugar (will note these), plant based sugars such as stevia & coconut sugar.
